What it feels like here…

When you step into Waves of Change Counseling, you step into a space that is steady, safe, and entirely yours.

Clients often describe leaving sessions feeling lighter, clearer, and more grounded—like they finally have room to breathe. This isn’t about quick fixes or being told what to do. It’s about being truly heard, having your story honored, and walking away with steps that make sense for you.

Because healing isn’t about rushing forward. It’s about finding a steady rhythm that carries you into what’s next.

Elizabeth brings nearly two decades of experience walking alongside people healing from trauma, grief, anxiety, and major life transitions.

Her training includes:

  • Licensed professional counselor & coach

  • Specialized expertise in trauma recovery and resilience

  • Extensive work with individuals, couples, and groups

But her expertise is more than clinical. Elizabeth’s approach is shaped by her own lived experiences—the moments of loss, change, and resilience that allow her to connect as both a professional and a human being.

Clients know: She’s not just “in the room.” She’s present, steady, and fully invested in helping you find your way forward.

Every session is trauma-informed and client-led. That means:

  • Connection – You set the pace. Elizabeth listens first, creating a safe, judgment-free space where your story comes first.

  • Perspective – Together, you’ll notice patterns, acknowledge how past trauma may still shape today, and uncover new ways of seeing your challenges.

  • Action – Each session ends with practical, compassionate steps so you can leave with clarity, momentum, and hope.

Elizabeth’s role is never to take over your choices—it’s to guide, support,
and walk beside you as you build resilience.

Values & Boundaries

Healing can only happen in an environment built on trust. That’s why Elizabeth’s practice is grounded in:

  • Safety & Consent – You choose the pace. Nothing is ever pushed or forced.

  • Inclusion & Transparency – All are welcome, and communication is always open and clear.

  • Trauma-Awareness – Sessions are intentionally designed to prevent re-traumatization and to honor your lived experience.

These boundaries aren’t limitations—they’re the foundation of freedom, growth, and healing.

The room has three windows with views of green trees outside, adorned with small potted plants and artwork. There is a bookshelf in the corner, a wall hanging, and a small side table beside the sofa.

Optional Spirituality — Only If You Choose

For some, faith or spirituality is a vital part of healing. For others, it isn’t. At Waves of Change, both paths are welcome.

“If your faith or spirituality is important to you, we can weave it into our work together. If not, that’s perfectly fine—this is your space, built around what matters most to you.”

Outside the Room — Beyond Sessions

Elizabeth’s impact extends beyond one-on-one sessions. She also leads:

  • Groups & Workshops on trauma recovery, resilience, and other topics

  • Community Conversations designed to foster connection and healing in safe, supportive environments

Because healing is personal—but it’s also strengthened in community.
